THE CAMPUS 

Rohilkhand Medical College & Hospital is situated in the heart of the city of Bareilly. The city is about 245 kms from Lucknow, it is about 255 kms from Delhi. It is well connected to both by Road and Rail. It is situated near the junction of National Highway 24on National Highway 74. 

The campus is lush green, sprawling over an area of 42 acres. It is about 5 kms from the Railway station and 2 Km From bus stand.. It is well connected to the city by public transport. A well built residential complex for faculty and separate hostel for boys & girls are available within the campus itself. The recreational facilities are the envy of all other colleges in Bareilly. The campus boasts of a twenty four hour water & electricity supply. 

THE COLLEGE 

Rohilkhand Medical College is a medical college run by award winning doctors of repute. The college has been established by Rohilkhand Educational and Charitable Trust dedicated to providing quality education.

The M.B.B.S. Course is -  

• Recognized by Medical council of India (MCI), Ministry of Health & Family    Welfare, Govt. of India.
• Approved by U.P. Government.
• Affiliated to MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly

THE HOSTELS  -

The M.B.B.S. course is completely residential. Separate hostels are provided for boys & girls within the campus. The rooms are well ventilated and are on twin sharing basis. Each student is provided with a cot, mattress, table, chair and almirah. Each Hostel has its own dinning hall, recreation room, visitor room & beautiful lawns. Water purifier and water cooler are also provided in the Mess to meet the requirement of the student. In addition there is provision for room coolers in the hostel. 

MESS FACILITY - 

The students are provided with breakfast, lunch, evening tea & dinner. 

CENTRAL LIBRARY - 

The college boasts of a centrally situated library which aims to satisfy the academic needs of the faculty and the student. Its collection of selective books, journals (National & International) CDs and Internet Connectivity meets the greater part of the student requirements of both learning & research interest. ACADEMIC BLOCK  - 

The main academic block of the college is of 3 storied building with a covered area of more than 6, 00,000 sq. feet. It comprises of lecture theatres equipped with modern teaching aids(OHP, slide projector, LCD projectors), laboratories, Museums, library & faculty chambers combined with contemporary architectural beauty & ideal space for academics & research.


Admission Process:



The aim of the programme is to produce doctors who have learnt the need to : -

1. Treat each patient with dignity, kindness, courtsey & respect.

2. Be competent in diagnosing and managing common health problems of the individual and community.

3. Serve the community through preventive medicine & education.

4. Appreciate the rationale for different therapeutic modalities & be familiar with the administration of "essential drugs" & their side effects.

5. Remain committed to continuing improvement in quality through adaptation of technological advance & continuing education,

6. Maintain the dignity of the Profession.

7.Recognize their responsibility to society and the development of traits such as personal integrity, sense of responsibility, dependability & ability to relate to & show concern for other individuals.

Duration -

Four & a half years ( 4 ½ yrs) plus one year compulsory rotatory internship. Candidates admitted to MBBS course must pass all papers of first MBBS examination, within four attempts ( the four attempts are to be completed within 3 yrs from the date of enrolment). If they fail to do so, they will not be alllowed to continue the course.

Eligibility -

a) Age : The candidate should have completed 17yrs of age on 31stDecember of the year preceding the year in which admission is sought.

b) Qualifying exam: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with English, Physics,Chemistry & Biology. Scoring a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subjects. The English level should not be less than the core course prescribed by the NCERT.
